FLORAL DESIGN STUDY
The Art of Flower Arranging
Anyone interested in learning the “Art of Flower Arranging can attend the Floral Design Study classes beginning in January. This will be a series of six units in basic design with the objective of developing a unified understanding of the art of flower arranging. It will give the novices confidence to do arrangements for their own enjoyment and/or enter flower shows. Even experienced floral designers will be able to refresh their basic concepts and probably get new ideas. Each unit will be held in one day, with three hours of lecture/demonstration in the morning, a lunch break followed by a two-hour supervised workshop. The classes will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Garden Club of St. Petersburg. The classes will be taught by National Flower Show Judges; students will receive certificates after completing six units. This course is open to members as well as non-members of GCSP; however, the class is limited to 30 students.
