FUNDRAISING

Each year Garden Club of St. Petersburg hosts multiple fundraising events that focus on “recycle, reuse” in line with GCSP mission on conservation. The funds we raise from the Plant Sale, Christmas/Holiday Recycle Plus Sale, and Home & Garden Market enable us to engage in community outreach projects, operating funds and programs.

  • The Fall Plant Sale is a major fund-raising project held yearly at the Garden Club Center, usually at the end of October. It features a broad array of plants donated from many Garden Club members. Beside lots of plants for sale to the public, we often have baked goods and the Garden Club boutique items with crafts, gardening books, and garden art.
  • The Christmas/Holiday Recycle is typically held the Friday before Thanksgiving. This one-day sale has many holiday items reasonably priced. It usually includes a bake sale and plant sale, too.
  • The annual Flea Market, renamed Home & Garden Market, is the primary money-making project held at the Garden Club Center once each year. This multi-day event in the spring has a broad range of items for sale to the public. The jewelry, clothing, and plant areas are often the “hot spots” for great deals.
